The objective of this organization shall be to give assistance to the needy of our community, to render effective volunteer service; and to foster interest among our members and the community in the economic, spiritual, educational, cultural, and civic conditions of this area.                                                                                 Our Mission The JSLB is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism. Membership in the JSLB offers an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with others who share a desire to give back to our community. Through the talents of our diverse membership we will support and enrich the lives of women, children and families in our community. Together we have a greater impact than we do individually.                                                    JSLB Impacting Our Community Our inaugural year was quite a productive one! Here are a few of the highlights: -We raised $30,000 for the Boys and Girls Club through our Beach, Boogie and BBQ bash! -Our Blood Drive for the Lowcountry Blood Alliance was the biggest blood drive in the county, bringing in 85 pints of blood, 76 of which were donated by first-time donors! -Our first Flamingo Flocking brought in over $6000 for the YMCA as well as bringing our group some notoriety from the flocked community! -For Caroline Hospice, we helped to put on the most successful Spring Fling Fashion Show yet, as well as decorating 8-10 trees for the Festival of Trees event in December. -We helped host Hope Haven’s Lilies on the River Event and brought in approximately $16,000.00 to their organization! -In our inaugural year all of our members together devoted over 4,500 hours of community service to Beaufort County!
