AMIkids - Beaufort Croquet Tournament: The Croquet Tournament is an annual event that raises money for the Beaufort Marine Institute - an organization that helps to rehabilitate young men.
Summary: JSLB members organize the Silent Auction which takes place during the Croquet Tournament. JSLB members help throughout the tournament and assist with many fun activities such as Best Dressed and Favorite Table Decorations. Money raised will help troubled teenage boys.

AMIkids Kingfish Tournament – Summer 2010: AMIkids is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping troubled youth develop into responsible and productive citizens.
Summary: The annual Kingfish tournament helps raise money for AMIkids. JSLB volunteers assist in staffing of the tournament and captains meeting.
 
BBQ for Boys and Girls Club: This event is organized entirely by the JSLB and benefits the Beaufort Area Boys and Girls Club.
Summary: JSLB creates a fun, young party with a band and BBQ. Held outside during February, the event aims to raise money through ticket sales, auction/raffle and sponsorships. The event gathered more than 300 guests each year (2006,2007) and has raised over $55,000 for the children of the Beaufort Area Boys & Girls Clubs. click for more info

Spring is near and so is the JSLB Pig Pickin' by the Pluff Mud! This annual event benefitting the Boys & Girls Club of the Lowcountry will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 6:30 rain or shine. Tickets are $75/ couple or $45 single ticket. Join us at Kate Gleason Park (behind Beaufort Memorial Hospital) and enjoy Duke's BBQ & music by Common Ground.
 
CAPA Angel Walk - Spring 2010: About CAPA. The Child Abuse Prevention Association (CAPA) is a local, non-profit organization for the purpose of providing prevention and intervention programs targeted at breaking the cycle of child abuse and neglect.
Summary:
In recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month, CAPA will host an Angel Walk to encourage community members to join together to help better the lives of women, children and families in our larger community. JSLB volunteers help assemble information and help with the setup, registration, route security, food and beverage, and breakdown of the event.
 
 
CAPA - Fall Festivus: About CAPA. The Child Abuse Prevention Association (CAPA) is a local, non-profit organization chartered in 1981 for the purpose of providing prevention and intervention programs targeted at breaking the cycle of child abuse and neglect.
Summary: JSLB will plan all aspects of the Fall Festival to raise friends and money for CAPA. click for more info
 
 
CAPA - Shelter Meals: About CAPA. TThe Child Abuse Prevention Association (CAPA) is a local, non-profit organization chartered in 1981 for the purpose of providing prevention and intervention programs targeted at breaking the cycle of child abuse and neglect. Children who are taken away from their homes due to abuse and/or neglect are placed in CAPA’s Shelter.
Summary: Children residing at the shelter will be provided a nutritious meal once a week by JSLB volunteers. The children and Shelter staff sit at the table and eat together, promoting conversation and building meaningful relationships. An estimated five to thirteen children will receive this meal provided by JSLB.
 
Festival Of Trees: The Festival of Trees is annual event held to raise money and awareness for Friends of Caroline Hospice.
Summary: Members from JSLB help tremendously with the decorating of the trees and the manning of the Gift and Gourmet Shop. Members also hold auction parties in their homes. This year $100,000.00 (2008) was raised- thanks in large part to the assistance of the League. click for more info
 
Friends of Caroline Hospice Fall Mailing – Fall 09/ Spring 2010: About Friends of Caroline Hospice Friends of Caroline Hospice (FOCH) provides home care and volunteer services that offer hope, encouragement, and care to those who live with a life threatening illness, as well as support for their families, friends, and the community.
Summary: The fall mailing for FOCH, their Annual Fund Campaign mailing, is their major solicitation for contributions each year. JSLB members organize and administer the mailing in both the Fall and Spring. click for more info
 
Lilies On The River: Lilies on the River is an fundraiser for Hope Haven
Summary: This event is held on the Saturday before Mothers Day. Lilies are sold in our community for $10 to honor or memorialize the women in our lives. A luncheon is held to honor women and lilies, representing hundreds of loved ones, are released into the river. JSLB members helped with planning and organizing the event, ticket sales for the lunch, lily sales and staffing the event. click for more info
 
Little Red Dog Fun Run – Spring 2010: About Little Red Dog. The Little Red Dog Foundation was founded to provide specially equipped three-wheeled cycles for people, mostly children, with disabilities who have financial need.
Summary: Starting in 2007, JSLB has planned and executed Fun Runs to benefit Little Red Dog. JSLB members solicit sponsors, donors, and runners. At the event, six cycles were given away and enough funds were raised to buy eight more.  click for more info
 
Operation Holiday Heroes: This event is organized by the United Way. Children's' toys are donated and then a 'Christmas shop' is set up for the underprivileged. Parents may walk through and "buy" presents for their children.
Summary: JSLB members help to organize the toy shop. Members also man the shop during the hours the toy shop is open.
 
St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Peter’s Catholic Church Food Pantry : About St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. The food pantry is St. Vincent de Paul Society’s primary activity and is staffed entirely by volunteers. They distribute over 100 tons of food annually, one grocery bag at a time.
Summary: JSLB will hold food drives to benefit the Society. Food will be distributed to the Food Pantry once a month from the JSLB’s donations.
 
Thumbs Up Meals: About Thumbs Up. Thumbs Up provides both a social and academic approach for meeting the needs of at risk children in Northern Beaufort County.
Summary: The Junior Service League of Beaufort provides a meal to the kids one night a week. Most of the kids often do not receive a hot meal at home; feeding the children a nutritious dinner before they are taken home enriches their lives in a number of ways.
